Follow these steps to initialize your device securely.

Navigate to the official URL in your browser. Always verify the domain spelling to avoid phishing sites.
Download Ledger Live
Download the application for your platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android). This app is your command center.
Connect Your Device
Use the provided USB cable to connect your Ledger Nano to your computer or smartphone.
Initialize Device
Follow the on-screen instructions on the device itself. Choose "Set up as new device" if this is your first time.
Set a PIN Code
Create a strong PIN code (4 to 8 digits). This code unlocks your device locally and is required for every usage.
Record Recovery Phrase
CRITICAL: Write down the 24 words displayed on your device screen onto the recovery sheets. Never store this digitally.
Install Apps

Never Share Your 24 Words

No Digital Storage
Do not take a photo of your recovery phrase. Do not save it in a password manager, cloud storage, or email draft.
Verify on Device
Always verify the address on your physical Ledger device screen, not just your computer screen, before confirming a transaction.
